Hulett Town Council

The Hulett Town Council met on October 2, 2024 at 7 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Bears, Kennah, Maher and Mayor Parsons.

Motion to approve the agenda with the addition of HDR under new business, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion to accept the Sept. 4, 2024 minutes, Bears/Backen, mc. Motion to approve the Sept. 26, 2024 minutes, Backen/Maher, mc.

Motion to approve the financial report, Backen/Bears, mc.

Police – Court has been postponed.

PWD – RDD #3 is down to a skeleton crew. Brian Jordan has given his two week notice. Striping at the airport is complete.

The Town has received a letter in regards to our ISO rating and it a 10 on a scale 1-10, 10 being the worst. This could impact residents’ insurance in the future.

Recreation – Karen Dirks asked the Mayor about replacing a panel behind the shoots that is damaged and needs replaced.

Motion to have HDR perform an engineering review on the replatting of lot 71 at the Golf Course, Backen/Bears,mc.

Motion to raise tap fees to: Sewer $1,000 and Water $1,200, effective immediately, Maher/Kennah, mc.

Motion to approve a building permit for lot 88 at the Golf Course, Bears/Backen, mc.

Motion to approve the 2nd payment request from Dan Hart Patrol, Kennah/Bears, mc.

Motion to go into executive session concerning personnel, Kennah/Backen mc.

Motion to come out of executive session Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to hire Josh Didier at $19.00 an hour with full benefits, Bears/Backen mc. He will start Oct. 7, 2024.
