Candidate roster confirmed

The candidate roster for state and national seats is now official and will begin with three options for United States President.

Donald J. Trump and JD Vance on the Republican ticket will face Kamala D. Harris and Tim Walz, Democratic, and Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat, Libertarian.

Though three independent candidates petitioned to appear on the general election ballot, none will do so. While Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was successful, he has since withdrawn, and neither Jill Stein nor Demetra Wysinger filed the required number of signatures by August 26.

For U.S. Senator, incumbent John Barrasso (R) faces Scott D. Morrow (D).

Four candidates will stand for U.S. Representative. Incumbent Harriet Hageman (R) will be challenged by Kyle G. Cameron (D), Richard Brubaker (L) and Jeffrey Haggit (C).

Chip Neiman (R) is unopposed to retain his State Representative 01 seat.

Finally, several judicial seats are up for election on the general ballot. Justices of the Supreme Court John G. Fenn and Kate M. Fox will run for retention.

Locally, in the Sixth Judicial Court, Matthew F.G. Castano will run to retain his position in District Court and Lynda R. Bush in Circuit Court.
