Hulett Town Council

The Hulett Town Council met on Aug. 1, 2024 at 7 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Bears, Kennah, Maher, and Mayor Parsons.

Motion to approve the agenda, Kennah Bears, mc.

Motion to approve the minutes, Bears/Maher. Jeannie Haas addressed the council about proceeding with the pickle ball park project. Motion to move forward with the project, Backen/Bears, mc.

Kelvin Johnson with the Golf Course brought a plan for 9 more spots at the golf course that will be an addition to the RV park, motion to approve them going forward, Bears/Maher, mc.

Also lot 71 they would like to subdivide into six spots for duplexes. The clerk will send the process to Johnson.

Motion to go into public hearing for liquor license renewals. Motion to approve the Coronato LLC application for a retail liquor license Backen/Bears, mc. Motion to approve the Capt’n Rons Rodeo Bar application for retail liquor, Maher/Bears, mc. Motion to approve the Devils Tower Golf Course application for a club license, Backen/Maher, mc. Motion to approve Penning Enterprise application for a restaurant liquor license, Kennah/Backen, mc. Motion to come out of public hearing.

Motion to approve financial report, Backen/Bears, mc.

Police – Ready for rally

Public works – The commercial lots on Red Devil Drive phase 3 will be stubbed out for water and sewer. The pumps at the wet well needs repair as does the pumps at other location. Cost will be about $15,500.

Airport – Crack sealing and painting being done. The Fly in was a success.

Fire – The department purchased a new truck that they will make into

Recreation – Mayor attended their meeting. The new rep. will be Brian Neiman. The rec. board approved the Ride a Horse and recommends council does the same. Motion to approve, Bears/Maher, mc.

Bills: Motion to pay general bills, Kennah /Backen, mc. Motion to pay airport bills, Backen/Bears, mc. Motion to pay SAF bills, Bears/Backen, mc.

Old business: Motion to approve the malt beverage for Ride a Horse, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion to approve building permit for chuck Fowler, Bears/Maher, mc.

Motion to sign contract for Trihydro for continuing monitoring at landfill, Backen/Maher,mc.

Motion to upgrade the copy machine and sign the lease, Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to have the Mayor sign the contract with Dakota Testing, Bears/Backen, mc.

Recreation board resolution tabled.
