Christine Diane Campbell, also known as Grandma Big Rock, was born on January 16, 1955, Peoria Illinois. She passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 68 in Sundance, Wyoming.
Christine was the kindest, quirkiest, fun-loving mother, grandmother and friend. She had a passion for gardening and could often be found playing in the dirt.
Christine enjoyed shopping for unique gifts to give to others and never met a stranger; she cherished meeting people from all walks of life, making them a part of her tribe.
In her professional life, Christine dedicated 24 years to the Devils Tower History Association, where she served as the sales manager. She took immense pride in her career and developed deep bonds with her co-workers, who became like family to her.
Christine is survived by her spouse, Eddy Campbell; her son, Charles Hansmeyer; her daughter, Rachael Westover; her grandchildren, River Hansmeyer, Noah Hansmeyer, Harper Hansmeyer, Logan Westover and Avery Westover; as well as her sister-in-law, Anna Jonas; nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Jonas; father, Marvin Jonas; brother, Mike Jonas; grandson, Shiloh Blue Hansmeyer and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life service in honor of Christine will be held at the Devils Tower National Monument Picnic Shelter Area on July 6, 2024, at 2 p.m., where food and refreshments will be served. Christine's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
