Swimming lessons start in July

Swimming lessons are coming back this year at the Belle Fourche Rec Center.

The Town of Hulett and Hulett Rec Board will be providing transportation to and from the lessons, which will be held from July 8 to 18.

Last year, 34 students took advantage of the opportunity.

This year’s price has increased from $28 to $48.38 per student for nonmembers, for which each child will receive two weeks of instruction from certified swim instructors, progressing from beginner to lifeguard levels.

The price covers costs including bus driver pay, fuel and rental fees. Sponsorships also contribute, including from Powder River Energy, PRECorp Foundation, the Town of Hulett, Range Communications and Summit National Bank.
