The Hulett Town Council met on Feb. 7, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Johnson and Kennah. Councilwoman Johnson served as Mayor pro-tem.
Motion to accept the agenda, Kennah/Backen, mc.
Motion to accept the January minutes, Backen/Kennah, mc.
Melissa Williams, a member of the Hulett Recreation Board address the council concerning the removal of the tires at the rec grounds. She would like to see a policy adopted so that there is better communication between the council and boards. She also asked that the rec board only pay for half of the removal cost of the tires. The council will take this under advisement.

Police report given, IV Bar addresses have been changed.
Public works reported that a lead survey and information will be due to DEQ Oct. 16, 2024. Skid steer should be here next month. Also reported that the he and the clerk worked on the Wyoming Water Development application for water feasibility study.

Motion to appoint the Wyoming Pioneer as the legal paper, Backen/Kennah mc.
Motion to appoint Summit National Bank and Pinnacle Bank as the depositories, Kennah/Backen, mc.
Motion to appoint Bruce Brown as the municipal judge, Backen/Kennah, mc.
Motion to have Mayor sign the public hearing minutes, Kennah/Backen, mc. Discussion on the benefit of the land swap and how it will be economically beneficial. Sager St. will continue into the new subdivision which will make the town cohesive. Also the two lots can be used to develop recreation or additional space for businesses. Motion to approve the land swap with the school, Kennah/Backen, mc.
Motion to have the Mayor sign the resolution for the water development study, Backen/Kennah, mc.
