CCSD announces mental health care access partnership

Crook County School District has this week announced a partnership with Care Solace to improve mental health care access for students, staff and their families.

Care Solace is a social purpose organization that aims to remove barriers in accessing mental health care. It serves as a central hub of care, streamlining communication and coordination in order to connect people with the resources they need.

The service acts as a “middleman” of sorts, acting to connect a person with mental health or substance abuse care provider. It is a completely free service to community members that has been made available to all school districts through the Wyoming Department of Education.

“If a parent wanted their kid to have services, they could contact the school counselor, but if a parent or anyone else wanted help, they would go to www.caresolace.com/crookcsd1,” says Matthew Wolfskill, Superintendent & School Board Admin Assistant. 

“There, they could connect directly with Care Solace through our portal.  If they go this route, it is completely confidential.”  

Care Solace has a team of more than 500 “care companions” able to connect you or your child to more than 370,000 licensed mental health and substance abuse treatment providers.

Care companions do the work of navigating the mental health care system to find the perfect fit for a person’s needs and insurance requirements and are on hand 24/7/365 with multilingual options available.

Care Solace exists to calm the chaos that often surrounds mental health crises, providing a supportive and compassionate framework to help individuals regain control of their lives.”
