Uneventful rally

The Annual Hulett rally has come and gone again and the memory from this one may be the wet, cool weather. With temperatures in the 70s and low 80s and chances of rain almost every day, bikers may have stayed closer to Sturgis for this rally.

Local businesses were definitely

busy building up to Wednesday and some vendors said they actually sold more on Tuesday rather than Wednesday.

Wednesday was busy for sure and people lined up for the famous Ham n' Jam pork at the Rodeo Bar. Bands were playing and bikers walked the streets of Hulett enjoying the beauty and friendliness of the small town. Wednesday has become Wyoming Wednesday for some towns who are trying to attract bikers to their events on that day.

Fourteen vendor licenses were given out broken out as follows: non-profit (5) $375 sanitation fee; regular (9) $5425 vending fee, $1800 sanitation fee. So, $7600 was collected overall from vendors.

The breakdown of the expenses for sanitation alone will be over $10,000. Last year the cost was $12,800. That does not include the cost for police, flaggers and sanitation workers. Businesses impacted by the event also contribute to the sanitation fee.
