Proudly Serving the Hulet and Devils Tower Community
In a heartfelt ceremony, veterans were honored and remembered in a Welcome Home ceremony last Saturday at the GHCC. Gov. Mark Gordon, Maj. Gen. Greg Porter and Veterans Commission Chairman Jake Jacobs all spoke at the importance of welcoming home all of our veterans.
Master of Ceremonies, NEC Keith Davidson, also spoke about welcoming home all veterans and remembered LeLand Wolf.
In conjunction with this ceremony, Mayor Ted Parsons read a proclamation not only declaring the Welcome Home Veterans Day, but also announcing that Hulett is now a Purple Heart Community, the second one in Wyoming.
Myah Cornett and Lila Kennah sang the National Anthem and Dan Trussell led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Prior to the ceremony, the Governor and First Lady also toured the First Baptist Church, the FFA barn and the Red Devil Drive area.
