Proudly Serving the Hulet and Devils Tower Community
This year's Hulett homecoming started off at 7:30 p.m. on Tues., Sept. 6, with all the people watching as the seniors walked together down the white lane to take their rightful places on the stools of honor to finally find out who the elected king and queen would turn out to be. Before they could know Ms. Anya Ivie Moody had a few announcements to make. She started off with a mention of all the sports teams including Hulett Cross Country, Hulett Lady Devils Volleyball, and Hulett Red Devils Football. After she finished with the announcements, she had the honor of bestowing upon MJ Ulmer and Abby Nelson the titles of King and Queen of Homecoming. After the coronation in the gym, it was time to head out to the football field to witness the town burning of the H.
As the crowd formed around the H the King, after pouring gasoline all over the bottom of the H, lit the towering structure ablaze. As the flames were growing the Little Devils Cheerleaders spread the school spirit with their cheers for the classes, the sports teams and the rest of the school. All this was possible even with the ongoing fire ban due to the onsite fire department ready for anything and able to put it out at the end. Luckily there were no accidents that night as the town visitors drove home from the night of the Hulett Homecoming Coronation.
