Hulett Town Council

The Hulett Town Council met on July 6, 2022 at 7 p.m. Present were Council Backen, Bears, Johnson, Kennah and Mayor Parsons.

Motion to accept the agenda, as amended, Backen/Johnson, mc.

Motion to accept the June minutes, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Financial: Audit will be held and 2nd week of Aug. Council was given the ending numbers for the 2021-2022 budget. Motion to accept the financial report, Backen/Kennah, mc.

Police: The chief is working on ordinances for animals.

Public works: Some of the streets have been crack sealed. The alley behind the Corner Market is settling in a spot, the contractor has been notified.

Capital facilities, Motion to pay, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Hardware land purchase: Signatures are needed and needs to go to the Title Company.

DTGC Replat. Kenny Rathbun brought over the final plat for moving the lot lines. Motion to approve the final plat for lots 1-5, Bears/Backen, mc. Motion to approve lots 88-90 final plat, Bears/Johnson, mc.

Council discussed the property at the Recreation Grounds. It was discovered that the town owns property that Chip Neiman thought he owned and was leasing. The attorney will write a letter if needed to the lessee.

There have been several accounts of people moving campers and other buildings onto town lots and not paying the minimum charge while hooking up to existing town services. The attorney will compose letters to be sent.

Motion to approve a catering permit for TB Acquisition for Aug. 6-11, Backen/Kennah, mc.

Motion to approve a catering permit for 1517 Apt. LLC for Aug. 8-12, Kennah/Backen mc.

Motion to approve the malt beverage permit for Brianna Gose (Rodeo Bar), Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion to approve the malt beverage permit for Troy Cheshier (Rodeo Bar), Bears/Backen, mc.

Propane bids were open, Alderman was $1.80 and Blakeman $183.9. Motion was made to accept the bid from Alderman at $1.80, Kennah/Bears, mc.

Building permit: Motion was made to table a permit from Butzine who lives on IV Bar Road, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion was made to approve a fence permit for Dustin Mattley, Backen/Bears, mc.

Motion was made to approve the water resolution raising rates by $1.00, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Motion was made to approve the sewer resolution raising rates by $1.00, Kennah/Backen, mc.

Ordinance 6 Series 2022 (zoning for the front half of the 27.5 acres) was read for the first time. Motion to approve, Backen/Kennah, mc.

Motion was made to have the clerk go forward with application for the ARPA SLIB grant for water and sewer infrastructure at the 27.5 acres, Backen/Kennah, mc.
