RBMC makes special room for kids

Red Bluff Medical Center is making sure that all their patients, no matter what age, feel comfortable when coming to the medical facility. A special kids' room was decorated with adorable dinosaur wall decorations and even a table that looks like a dinosaur by Dr. Rios, his wife and staff.

The room was made to make it a friendlier environment during a child's visit to the doctor.

"Giving kids a fun creative environment improves the physician-patient relationship," said Dr. Rios. "Kids feel valued and special when a room fits them. The chair height, the decorations, it makes them feel special."

The doctor ended by stating that children react more positively when they know they matter and that makes the exam and evaluation easier.
