2022 Crook County Rodeo Royalty Contestants

Junior Princess

Ellie Burch

Ellie Burch is the daughter of Dallas and Anna Burch of Oshoto. She is homeschooled and will be a seventh grader this fall. She enjoys riding horses, cooking, crocheting and playing the piano and bass guitar. Ellie participates in local rodeos in the barrels, poles, goat tying, calf riding, and breakaway roping events.

Ellie is a member of the Carlile Wranglers 4-H Club. Her scholastic ambition is to do well in school and get As and Bs. She helps her community by attending brandings and doing community service with her 4-H club.

She would like to represent Crook County as the next Rodeo Junior Princess because she wants to represent rodeo and the western lifestyle. She would be proud to represent her county because she believes it is a beautiful place to live and likes how it supports the rodeo lifestyle. Ellie is sponsored by Stormy and Becky Burch of Oshoto.

Maggie Morrison

Maggie Morrison is the daughter of Wayne and Kevie Morrison of Aladdin. She will be a seventh grader this fall at Hulett School. She enjoys riding her four horses, moving cows, attending brandings, artwork, camping, hunting and fishing. Maggie participates in rodeos in the barrels, poles, goat tying and breakaway events, as well as volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, track and FFA livestock judging.

Maggie is a member of the Devils Tower FFA Chapter, Ride & Hide 4-H Club, Devils Tower AAU Volleyball Team, Devils Tower Wrestling Club, Sundance Rodeo Club, WJRA Rodeo Club and Belle Fourche Jackpot. Her scholastic ambition is to work hard on school work to get good grades so she can become a large animal veterinarian someday. Maggie helps her community by doing outdoor chores and yardwork for the elderly.

She would like to represent Crook County as the next Rodeo Junior Princess because she wants to help more kids get involved with the agricultural lifestyle, always welcome others to our community, and promote everyone getting along. Maggie is sponsored by Mountain Plains Appraisals of Buffalo, Wyoming.

Riata Burch

Riata Burch is the daughter of Charity Burch of Oshoto. She will be a seventh grader this fall at Moorcroft High School. She enjoys riding her horse, roping, drawing, writing stories, camping and fishing. Riata participates in youth rodeos in the barrel racing and pole bending events, as well as showing horses at the Crook County Fair Horse Show.

Riata is a member of the Carlile Wranglers 4-H club. Her scholastic ambition is to make the A honor roll and be on the student council again. Riata helps her community by attending neighbors' brandings and doing cattle work. She also helps clean up after the Hulett Rodeo and helps clean the Oshoto Bible Church.

She would like to represent Crook County as the next Rodeo Junior Princess because this county has been home to her family for four generations. She loves the area, the communities and the history of the county. Her goal is to educate others while promoting the sport of rodeo and cowboy way of life. Riata is sponsored by Burch Rodeo of Rozet.

Princess

Tana Timberman

Tana Timberman is the daughter of Jobee and Jamie Timberman of Moorcroft, Wyoming. She will be a sophomore this fall at Moorcroft High School. She enjoys showing her chickens, sheep, and goats at the Crook County Fair, as well as riding and training horses. She participates in rodeos in the barrels, poles, and goat tying events, and plays volleyball at Moorcroft High School.

Tana is a member of the Whitcomb FFA Chapter. Her scholastic ambition is to go to college for a business degree and to be actively involved with horses. Tana helps her community by cleaning up trash, helping during Moorcroft Jubilee, and rebuilding the local arena.

She would like to represent Crook County as the next Rodeo Princess because she wants to give back to the community where she was raised and has had many memorable experiences. Her goal is to proudly represent the sport of rodeo through rodeo royalty and share the excitement and wonders of rodeo. Tana is sponsored by Timberman Innovative Construction of Moorcroft, Wyoming.

The public is invited to attend the horsemanship competition on Tues., July 19 at 9 a.m. at the Sundance Rodeo Arena. The crowning of the upcoming royalty is on Sat., July 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sundance Arena.
