Proudly Serving the Hulet and Devils Tower Community

Upcoming activities at the Hulett Museum

Visit the Hulett Museum and Art Gallery for several upcoming activities, including the story of a local unsung hero and a summer craft series.

Who was the unsung hero during the 1941 parachutist rescue at Devils Tower? Who was the first civilian pilot to fly after the bombing at Pearl Harbor?

Who was the only woman to train pilots and rig parachutes for servicemen at the Black Hills Airport? Who was the ‘Diana of Dakota’?

On May 23 at 6 p.m., local amateur historian Tim Velder will tell the story of Neva Esmay Pluimer and her famous exploits during the WWII years in the northern Black Hills.

This year’s summer craft series for kids will meanwhile begin on June 24 with a session to build a dreamcatcher, followed by beading on July 15 and a life wheel on August 19.

Join Cynthia Klinger on these dates from 1 to 3 p.m. to get your summer craft on. All ages are invited.

No fees are required, but donations are always appreciated. All the supplies will be on hand, but feel free to bring anything to give your craft some razzle dazzle.
