Proudly Serving the Hulet and Devils Tower Community
April 4
The Hulett airport met on April 4th at the DTFP. All members were present. The board had a conference call with Carson with T-O Engineering. The board did regular business first. The kindergarten class will get a tour of the hangar and Neiman plane on Tuesday at 10:30. They will follow up the tour with lunch. On May 17th the Wyoming Aeronautics Commission will be in Hulett. Airport board and council are invited to join.
Carson and the board discussed upcoming projects and funding. Currently airports get $150,000 entitlement money. This money can be loaned to other airports. In addition, now airports will get an additional bi-partisan infrastructure $110,000 but cannot be saved and has to be used within 5 years. One of the projects that Carson worked up was an FBO hangar. Cost estimate is $1,3 million. Other projects could include a master plan, strengthening the runway. The board needs to take action before July. We need to set priorities before July, transfer or spend by 2024 and have a solid project by 2025 or our monies could go away.
