Northwest College has named 483 students to its fall 2023 semester honor rolls. The list of students represents 40 communities in Wyoming, 23 in Montana, as well as 15 states and 15 different countries. Black Hills State University has released the Dean's List for the fall 2023 semester. A total of 680 students maintained a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours. Dylan Williams, a Hulett High School 10th grade student was selected to be in the Wyoming All-State Choir in the tenor section. He will go to Casper January 14-16 to prepare and participate in the concert held on the 16th. Williams had to tryout in Gillette in October and found out Dec. 1 that he had been selected. The elementary Christmas concert was held last Tuesday at the school. Preschool through fifth grade sang to a packed audience. The Devils Tower FFA held a Fall Fest on November 10 at the school. The fun-filled evening had pumpkin decorating, pie eating contest, chili cook-off and cornhole. Almost a hundred seventh graders from across the county convened in Sundance last week for a day of learning about civics. Elected officials were on hand to introduce the students to the functions of local government and the impact each office will have on their adult lives. The Roy Montgomery American Legion Post #80 Auxiliary helped Hulett educators celebrate American Education Week with taking them a box of apples to enjoy. The Hulett music department under the direction of Lila Kennah presented their annual Veterans Day Concert on Nov. 6 at the school. The entire school participated in either band or chorus. Hulett School Library will host a Scholastic Book Fair on Monday through Thursday next week. Funds raised will help purchase books for children, the media center and classroom libraries. Families, faculty and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers.
