Two local men died during a search and rescue effort at Keyhole State Park that began on Thursday and continued until dusk on Sunday. The Crook County Sheriff’s Office received a call on December 15 at around 9:10 p.m. that a male subject had fallen through the ice while driving his UTV on the reservoir. Dispatch spoke to the subject on the phone, who said he had made it out of the water and was lying on the ice. Eric Orval Huseby, 88 was born July 28, 1934 to Louis and Muriel Huseby on the Huseby Ranch. Eric passed away on December 13, 2022. Eric attended the country school here on the place through the eighth grade. Eric worked with his dad on the ranch and in the timber industry.
