The Hulett Roping Club held their playday and queen contest on Sept. 25 at the Hulett Recreation Grounds. Lady-in-Waiting contestants went through some competitive events to see who would score high enough to become the next Lady-in-Waiting with Maggie Morrison taking the title.     According to this year’s accountability scores, all of Crook County’s schools are at least partially meeting the state’s expectations and have not seen a significant drop in performance scores, despite the disruptions caused by COVID-19. Accountability measures have not been determined since the 2018-19 school year, a two-year pause caused by the pandemic.     Joseph Brutus Graham, 98 of Moorcroft, Wyoming was born July 24, 1924, to George and Iola (Sloan) Graham in Custer, Montana. Joe was the middle child of seven and was the last to meet his Lord and Savior on September 23, 2022. Joe married Eunice (Prell) Graham on February 23, 1944, in Broadus, Montana. They lived together on the ranch for 71 years, and Joe was still living in their house when he passed away. Joe served his country and his community in many ways. He was a World War II veteran....

However, if the case continues to progress along its current schedule, Crook County native Ed Svoboda is expected to stand trial for murder in the first degree on that date.     Multiple hunters ticketed for trespassing over the weekend GILLETTE (WNE) — Sheriff’s deputies ticketed trespassers throughout the county last weekend who said they were unaware they were on private land.     Two popular Wyoming boating locations are changing their protocols for watercraft inspections to protect waters from zebra mussels, an aquatic invasive species. These changes, instituted by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources, will begin Oct. 5.
