Rare Element Resources (RER) announced this week that its demonstration plant project is advancing towards final detailed engineering while the location for the plant in Upton is prepared for construction. James Ernest Maupin "Jim" was born May 28, 1949, in Pierre, South Dakota, the son of Thomas J. and Christine Maupin of Eagle Butte, South Dakota. The Powder River Energy (PRECorp) Foundation has facilitated $15,360 in direct donations to local volunteer fire departments through a single day of fundraising in July this year. Called the WyoGives ‘Day of Giving,’ the annual online fundraiser gives local charities an opportunity to raise funds online and leverage matching funds from entities like the Hughes Charitable Foundation to increase the total dollars raised. The long-standing tradition of the Old Settlers Picnic was held last Sunday at the picnic area at Devils Tower. An annual event that's been held since the 1930s, it used to bring thousands to enjoy a picnic at the monument with friends, family and neighbors. CASPER — Wyoming women and health care providers are asking a Teton County judge to block state lawmakers and an anti-abortion group from joining an ongoing lawsuit over Wyoming’s abortion ban. Sixty years ago, a group of Extension agents, 4-H leaders and parents held the first Western Junior Home Ec Show, which is now known as the Family and Consumer Sciences Show (FCS Show).
