The Hulett Branch Library held their last flight for the year taking its passengers to Hawaii. The group toured the islands, tried a Dole whip®, learned how to hula and played games. Competitors were in Cheyenne last weekend for the 2023 State Horseshoe Tournament. Sanctioned Wyoming Horseshoe Pitching Association members came from all over the state for the competition. Three participants from Moorcroft did very well at the state tournament. Kolter Huven placed first in the Junior division and Kris Huven placed third in the Men's C Division. Bruce Langdon McAmis, age 94 of Alva, Wyoming peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 22, 2023. Bruce was born February 9, 1929 to Carp and Elizabeth (Langdon) McAmis. He was the oldest of seven children. Mary Ellen McAdam, age 97, of Stover, Missouri passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at her home, where she resided for the past five years with Merna and Jim Boyd. It was on the 5th of August, 1926 that Jesse Andrew and Cassie Margaret (Grey) Clausen welcomed their daughter, Mary Ellen, into their home in Martin, South Dakota. Wanda "Dee" Carroll, 68, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord on August 24, 2023 after fighting a valiant and brave battle with ovarian cancer. Dee, daughter to Nina Mae Watts and George Malven Watts Jr., was born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, on January 18, 1955.
