The Hulett Airport Board held their annual Hulett Fly In at the Hulett Municipal Airport last Saturday as 24 planes from all over the area flew in to enjoy a free breakfast and visit with locals and pilots. Local residents came up and enjoyed watching the variety of planes that flew in. People flew in from Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming and North Dakota. The Hulett Museum recently received funding of $4500 for heating and cooling system upgrades for the community museum facility in Crook County. The grant is a result of combined efforts by Powder River Energy Corporation (PRECorp) and its wholesale power supplier Basin Electric. The $2250 in PRECorp funds will come from proceeds associated with the company's WyREC renewable energy credits program. Mark Gordon’s office announced Saturday morning that he has appointed Wyoming Secretary of State Ed Buchanan to be a district court judge for the 8th Judicial District, serving Goshen County. A male subject with an active Wyoming warrant was shot and killed by law enforcement on Saturday morning after two shootouts took place on I-90 near Sundance. According to the Crook County Sheriff’s Office, the subject was contacted by a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper on Saturday night at around 10:10 p.m., as he was walking along I-90 near milepost 184.
