    Bexley Lorraine Jeppesen, Hulett, Wyoming, born May 31, 2022, passed away June 29, 2024. Bexley was such a spitfire little girl, born to Athena Peterson and Hayden Jeppesen. Her attitude would put a smile on even the grumpiest faces. She was as wild as they come, loving everything to do with animals, dancing, swimming and keeping up with her big brother and sisters.     Dylan Williams attended the Hugh O'Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Conference June 28-30 in Cheyenne. The conference is opened to sophomores and focuses on personal, service and group leadership skills. Williams had to apply and one sophomore from each school is chosen. He is now eligible to go to Nationals in Chicago this year and can be a volunteer for HOBY camps next year. The students are challenged to volunteer 100 hours each year....

    As the final stage of adopting the new hazard mitigation plan for the county, Emergency Management Coordinator Ed Robinson has been presenting it for approval to the governmental bodies it will affect. The Region 1 Hazard Mitigation Plan is, Robinson says, “A plan that is adopted by all of the municipalities and the county every five to seven years.” As the last adoption was in 2018, the time for renewal has arrived.     A new website has been launched to help ensure that every Wyomingite has the resources they need to vote this year.     The Hulett Area Senior Citizens will again have their special fundraiser and sell lunches during the Rally day of Wednesday, August 7 at the Senior Center. They are asking for volunteers to bake cookies and deliver them to the center anytime for freezing between now and August 7. They also need volunteers on August 6 at 1 p.m. to help set up tables and chairs and on August 7 to help serve starting at 11 a.m., take down and put away tables and chairs and do a final cleanup at 3 p.m. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

    Local woman sentenced for role in state park death CHEYENNE (WNE) — In connection with the death of a man in Curt Gowdy State Park, Gizelle Kellum has pleaded no contest to accessory after the fact as a relative.
