Dear Editor, Last July 4, 2023, I had neighbors set off 30-40 roman candles that also went over my land, and the neighbor to the south of them, Jim’s, that had dry, raked and wind rowed hay. My pasture had a stand of tall dry western wheat grass that was headed out and dry on the top and starting to dry at the bottom; it would have burned. Wyoming Game & Fish is asking citizens to keep their eyes peeled for dead rabbits, whether in your yard or on your property or in another outdoor area. The department is currently monitoring for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHD2V), which was first detected in this state in 2020 and has already been identified in 20 rabbits across eight counties this year. Powell woman dies in apparent suicide at jail POWELL (WNE) — An inmate at the Park County Detention Center died Saturday night in what authorities described as an apparent suicide. The Powell woman, who’d been booked into the jail early Friday morning, was 35 years old at the time of her death. In a Monday afternoon news release, the Park County Sheriff’s Office withheld the woman’s name, saying that a family member had yet to be notified of her death.
