The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #80 of Hulett hosted the Americanism Contest this year. Students Kindergarten through twelfth grade are invited to participate in the contest. This year grades K-2 had patriotic coloring pages. Grades 3-5 wrote poems. The theme was "The Meaning of the Red, White and Blue on Our US Flag". Grades 6-12 were asked to write essays. The Hulett Lions club scholarships were given to Ahnya Moody who received the main scholarship from the Lions club in the amount of $1000. The other three students were awarded scholarship money from a donation the lions club received.
