    The commencement exercises for the Hulett graduating class of 2024 were held last Sunday at the Hulett high school. 16 seniors participated in the ceremony and received their diplomas. Guest speaker was teacher Josh Willams. Valedictorian was Ahnya Ivie- Moody with salutatorian being Kaydence Westover. All gave profound and heartfelt speeches.   • Town holds election

    Teacher Josh Willems brought over his class to check out the voting process in the town election. The Hulett municipal election was held last Tuesday with voters choosing two council people. Running were incumbent Brian Kennah, Friel Lynn and Kelly Maher. Only 43 voted out of 154 registered voters. The top vote-getters were Brian Kennah with 35 votes, Kelly Maher with 29 votes and Friel Lynn with 17 votes. The newly elected council people will be sworn into office at the June 5 town council...

  • Author tells her story

    Shirley Muñoz Newson was a guest author sponsored by the Hulett Library. Newson wrote the book The Little Dark One, a true story about being switched at birth. About 20 people attended to listen to Newson's life story. Her story is intriguing and very interesting about having the unthinkable happen to a family. After the program, people continued to visit with the author and discuss her story....

  • Hulett FFA gets new greenhouse

    A new drip-irrigation greenhouse has been built for the FFA program in Hulett. Edsel Redden, an FFA Honorary American Farmer, brought together a group of volunteers to construct the building. On May 16, students gathered with their Vocational Ag instructor and FFA advisor Taylor Starks to plant towers of vegetables.     The Wyoming State Legislature granted a fourth judge to the Sixth Judicial District earlier this year and their identity will be known in the next few weeks. After graduating from Arkansas State Teachers College, she moved to Hulett, Wyoming where she married the love of her life, LeRoy Bush.
