  • Svoboda bound over on murder charges

    County resident Edward Svoboda has been bound over to District Court on charges related to the death of his wife of 53 years last September. Svoboda appeared in Circuit Court on February 7 for a review of the competency evaluation performed in January at the Wyoming State Hospital. Judge Matthew F.G. Castano found there to be probable cause to believe an offense – or several offenses – had been committed by Svoboda. He bound the case over to District Court for arraignment and further proceedings.   • Turkey shoot youth contest announced

    The Old West Invitational Turkey Shoot contest is open to Hulett youth 12 to 18 years old. One boy and one girl will be chosen. Participants can enter any kind of creative artwork everything from metal work to drawings to anything that the imagination could create as long as it has something to do with a turkey.     Luke Peterson and Echo Bohl were the top two checkers players when the Hulett Public Library held their first annual checkers tournament. Six people participated in the event.     Nearly 20 ladies had a great time painting an adorable cow head at the Hulett Museum. Sponsored by the Hulett Public Library and the Hulett Museum and Art gallery, this was a fun-filled evening of visiting and painting with friends and family.     CHEYENNE —Lawmakers in the House failed to introduce a bill on the floor by Friday’s deadline that would have expanded Medicaid coverage for Wyoming residents.
