The fifth annual Hulett cheerleader fundraiser was held last Saturday night at the GHCC. Supporters gathered to help raise funds, and to have a fun evening of silent and live auctions. The live auction had a lot of unique items including cutting Craig Goodell's hair. Auctioneer was Justin Biesheuvel, who was entertaining as always. Unofficially, around $15,000 was raised. The snow may be coming down more often than it has over recent years, but the National Weather Service (NWS) is not predicting it will cause flooding when the spring arrives. Due to delays caused by a backlog at the Wyoming State Hospital, the trial of Crook County native Ed Svoboda is now expected to begin in August. Svoboda will stand trial for murder in the first degree following the death of his wife in 2021. Svoboda has pled not guilty by reason of mental illness. An August, 2022 date was originally set for his trial. Cody man charged with perjury CODY (WNE) — The Cody man charged in September for the alleged assault and battery of his pregnant girlfriend was charged Feb. 7 with one count of perjury after he allegedly asked his girlfriend to recant her statement to get the case dismissed. Travis William Rednour, 40, now faces imprisonment for up to five years, a fine of no more than $5000 or both, if convicted of perjury.
